We are sad to announce that Chas Pearce has stood down as our LibDem Rother District Councillor for Catsfield and Crowhurst due to ill health. His popularity following many years of dedication to his community was reflected in the substantial majority he secured when he won the seat in 2023. He represented his community with great care and enthusiasm and was a dedicated member of the Planning Committee. We will miss him greatly and wish him all the very best for the future.
We are delighted to introduce Nicola McLaren who has been selected to stand for the Liberal Democrats in the by-election which will take place on 26th June. Recently retired from a senior management role within IBM, Nicola has impressed us all with her dynamism and her desire to get involved in supporting our Catsfield and Crowhurst community.
